theJourney Student Ministry
Tuesday nights from 6-8pm at The Cellar, the basement of theBridge Church office at 112 S. Fairfax Blvd, Ranson.
Teenage years are unlike any other, full of swift changes, developing identity, and all the growing pains that come along with becoming an adult. In this time perhaps more than any other in their lives, it’s not about the destination, but about the journey.
Teens are unique people, and as such, they need a unique place to hang out with friends and work out their faith. At theBridge, that place is appropriately called theJourney Youth Ministry. Each week, middle and high school students gather to have fun learning what it means to follow Christ in their own culture.
theJourney leaders meet them where they are with modern music and relevant teaching. Time spent talking, laughing, and praying together builds friendships to last through college and beyond. Events like concerts and river tubing give them ways to fill their free time in a positive and safe environment. And by inviting their friends along, they can impact their peers with the love and hope of Christ.
theJourney knows that when we serve others, we’re living out our faith as Jesus did. That’s why our teens take on service projects and organize other events to reach out to our community. Selflessness and giving is an important part of life in theJourney.
theJourney’s goal is three-fold, but simple: Unite, Rescue, and Give.
Unite: bringing teens together as a family
Rescue: taking the hope, love, and mercy of Christ to the world
Give: making a difference in the lives of those around us in practical ways
